Important Club News
Our Club Grounds is now ‘Smoke & Vape Free’ from the 5th of September 2022.
This will mean once anyone enters the club grounds from the entrance gate they will be prohibited from smoking or vaping anywhere on club property.
U16 player Laura approached the Club Committee with a proposal for a ‘smoke & vape free’ club. Laura is taking part in the Dermot Early Youth Leadership programme and this proposal was part of her community project initiative. As a committee we were delighted to support Laura’s proposal and welcomed her positive ideas and understood the negative effects smoking has on players and supporters health.
Laura carried out a colouring competition with our u8 & u10 girls football teams who she kindly helps out with. Their super work can be seen on the lights around the pitch.
We met with Mailyn Bass from County Wicklow Partnership who was extremely helpful with this initiative and provided us with our first official sign and congratulated Laura on bringing her idea to fruition.
